• To establish universal design environment by collaborating with all department and offices within university.

• To provide professional support related to studying, living, and transition for students with special needs.

• To develop and manage government-published special education assessment instruments.

• To publish the Special Education Quarterly, Gifted Education Quarterly, and other related books.

• To develop special education teaching materials and assistive technology devices.

• To maintain special education websites (sencir.spc.ntnu.edu.tw)

• To provide special education consultation services (Hotline: 886-2-7734-5099)

• To provide professional training and support to resource room Project Staff.

• To offer special education guidance to government agencies and schools at northern cities/ counties in Taiwan.

Conducting Special Education Research and Activities

• To collaborate with government agencies, schools, and enterprise to disseminate special education

• To conduct special education research sponsored by research institutes.

• To implement related research and activities by the center itself.
